A l’occasion de la fête nationale belge ce 21 juillet, j’ai demandé à 12 blogueurs + moi ! de partager l’une de leurs destinations préférées pour passer un weekend en Belgique. Malgré sa petite taille, notre plat pays ne manque pas de merveilleux endroits à découvrir depuis les montagnes d’Ardenne jusqu’au littoral belge, certains très connus et d’autres beaucoup moins. Venus de Bruxelles, de Flandre, de Wallonie, ou même de France, les amis blogueurs qui ont accepté de se prêter à ce petit jeu vous présentent donc chacun une ville qu’ils connaissent bien en Belgique, de Bruxelles à Liège en passant par Gand et même Charleroi vous ne manquerez plus d’idées pour votre prochain weekend en Belgique ! Bruxelles Par Sarah, Crokmou Bruxelles ma Belle, son surnom ne lui colle pas à la peau pour rien. Elle est multiculturelle, changeante au fil des saisons, active et agréable. Elle vous fera tourner la tête ! Ses courbes se dessinent au travers d’un patrimoine architectural atypique du classique à l’Art déco en passant par la Renaissance Flamande, le Gothique et l’industriel. Sa cuisine et ses talents culinaires sauront aussi vous charmer. Ses célèbres spéculoos, ses gaufres, sa bière et son chocolat sauront vous faire fondre, sans oublier ses frites inimitables. Plusieurs établissements mettent d’ailleurs ses spécialités à l’honneur. Mais Bruxelles sait aussi mettre en avant sa mixité une cuisine du monde valorisée par des tas de restaurants de qualité ! Bruxelles est tantôt artiste, tantôt rêveuse. A chaque semaine son lot de nouveautés, de partage et de convivialités. Il faut dire que ses habitants sont des passionnés. Capitale de la BD mais pas que, elle aime aussi la musique, le dessin, les brocantes, la mode. Au travers d’expositions, de musées, d’événements, elle saura vous faire bouger au rythme des saisons, de jour comme de nuit ! La Belle a de quoi vous en mettre plein la vue, on ne s’ennuie jamais avec elle ! Pour une semaine, un weekend ou une journée, vous tomberez amoureux, je n’ai aucun doute là dessus ! → Voir les hôtels à Bruxelles → Réserver une Brussels Card Liège Par Sarah, Le Blog de Sarah Liège a été une de mes belles surprises lors de mon voyage en Belgique. Le coup de cœur a d’ailleurs commencé dès l’arrivée, à la gare de Liège-Guillemins, réalisée par l’architecte espagnol Santiago Calatrava. C’est un superbe bâtiment, avec son immense voûte de verre et d’acier qui recouvre les voies. La Cité Ardente, comme on surnomme Liège, est une belle destination pour les amateurs d’architecture, de street-art et de gastronomie belge… Côté architecture, mise à part la gare, il y a deux autres bâtiments à ne pas louper le Grand Curtius, un bâtiment de style classique, qui était l’ancien palais d’un riche industriel et qu’on peut découvrir sur les bords de la Meuse. Il y a aussi la Cité Miroir, qui est un très bel exemple de reconversion d’un ancien bâtiment industriel pour devenir un espace artistique. Grâce au festival Paliss’Art, la ville est maintenant recouverte par de nombreuses fresques de street-art qui ont mis en valeur son architecture industrielle. Sur les quais de la Meuse notamment, figure un très beau mural de l’artiste belge Sozyone. Pour le street-art, c’est bien de demander une carte détaillée des fresques à l’office du tourisme pour ne pas en louper. Pour profiter de la ville côté nature, il faut aller se promener sur le chemin des Coteaux de la Citadelle, puis, avec un peu de courage, monter au sommet des escaliers de Bueren et de ses… 375 marches! Au sommet, la vue panoramique sur Liège est la plus belle des récompenses. Pour finir, on n’est pas en reste au niveau gastronomie! La spécialité de Liège, ce sont les boulets à la Liégeoise, de la viande hachée qu’il faut bien évidemment manger avec de délicieuses frites belges adresse La Frite, rue de la Cité 5. Pour un en-cas l’après-midi il faut absolument goûter les gaufres de Liège adresse Une gaufrette Saperlipopette, rue des mineurs 7. Et pour le soir, il faut boire une bonne bière locale! La Curtius de la Brasserie C aux pieds des escaliers de Bueren, impasse des Ursulines est un vrai régal! → Voir les hôtels à Liège Le Plateau des Tailles Par Julien, Les Sentiers du Phoenix Le Plateau des Tailles, entre la Roche-en-Ardenne et Vielsam… Ce nom ne vous dit sans pas grand chose. Pourtant derrière ce lieu se cache l’un des coins les plus sauvages et les beaux de Wallonie. Lover au milieu de cette sombre et mystérieuse forêt d’Ardenne, le paysage de lande que constitue ce plateau vous plongera, par temps brumeux, dans un paysage digne de Game of Thrones. C’est sans compter sur l’immense forêt qui borde le plateau et vous plongera pendant des kilomètres et des kilomètres en pleine nature. Appréhender cette région, c’est accepter de se perdre en forêt au fil des sentiers et des zones de bivouacs. Car, c’est autour du feu et à la lueur de la lune que se dévoile la magie de ce massif forestier. Et pour les plus aventureux, vous démarrez de la Baraque Fraiture, point culminant du Plateau, et vous vous laisserez mener jusqu’à la vallée de l’Ourthe. Cette rivière a, pendant des siècles et des siècles, creuser une vallée aussi discrète que grandiose. Le long de cette vallée bordant le plateau, vous apprendrez à apprécier les panoramas et les trésors cachés de ce qui est à mes yeux la plus belle région de Belgique. Envie de découvrir un condensé de cette région ? Rendez-vous à la Baraque Fraiture qui dispose de nombreux sentiers de randonnées ou de ski de fond l’hiver. Envie de vivre cette région en itinérance ? Le sentier de l’Escapardenne est fait pour vous et vous donnera un aperçu pour ressentir l’ambiance de la région. → Voir les hôtels près du Plateau des Tailles Ostende Par Heidi, Living by the Sea Il est difficile de ne pas être enthousiaste en parlant d’Ostende. La ville au bord de mer possède la combinaison unique de toujours quelque chose à faire » et l’apaisement de la mer. Une combinaison que vous trouverez nulle part ailleurs sur la côte belge. Ostende possède pas mal de musées. offre de l’art belge. Vous y trouverez des œuvres d’Ensor qui est né à Ostende. A Ostende, il y a aussi des musées maritimes comme le trois-mâts Mercator et l’Amandine, le dernier islandais. A ne pas manquer The Crystal Ship, un grand festival d’art Streetart avec plus de 40 artistes qui ont fait des œuvres énormes sur les façades d’Ostende ! Avec des magasins qui sont ouverts chaque dimanche, Ostende est the place to be pour faire du shopping. Vous y trouverez toutes les grandes chaînes et aussi des petits boutiques locales. Quelque chose que beaucoup de touristes ne connaissent pas, c’est le petit bateau bac gratuit qui vous emmène à l’autre côté du port vers Oosteroever’. Là, dans les dunes, vous trouverez Fort Napoléon. Cet été vous y pouvez visiter l’exposition The Summer of Love. Le soir, vous pourrez déguster des plats délicieux de fruit de mer sur la digue, en regardant le coucher du soleil. Ostende a vraiment les plus beaux couchers de soleil! → Voir les hôtels à Ostende Charleroi Par Caroline, Charleroi a beaucoup changé ces dernières années et offre de plus en plus de choix pour se divertir que ce soit au niveau culturel ou culinaire en passant par le shopping ou les promenades, vous aurez le choix pour passer un chouette week-end au Pays Noir. Il y’a moins d’un an était inauguré la promenade des Terrils de 25 km environ. Une sacrée randonnée ponctuée de montées et descentes parfois un peu difficile mais la superbe vue sur la ville industrielle qui nous attendait au bout était une belle récompense à chaque fois ! > La Boucle Noir – GR 412 Rive Gauche a fait bouger le bas de la ville qui était devenu assez vieux et peu convivial. Depuis quelques années en plus du centre commercial des petites boutiques s’y sont installées et nous changent un peu des grosses enseignes. Passez faire un coucou aux filles de Wonderfriends, un concept store qui offre, en plus des objets design déjà présent depuis l’ouverture, une petite collection de vêtements tendance et décalé made in Charlouz. Niveau gastronomie tout le monde connait déjà Robert La Frite présent depuis les années 50 qui reste un passage obligé ne fût ce que pour sa sauce Andalouse qui reste la meilleure que j’ai jamais goûtée. Mais si on veut aller un peu plus loin niveau gastronomie le Quai 10, cinéma et centre culturel, ouvert 7j/7 pourra combler votre faim du matin jusqu’à tard le soir. La Manufacture, que j’ai testée récemment, propose des bières brassées sur place, du café torréfié au même endroit mais aussi une petite restauration. La carte des bières est très intéressante et vous fera découvrir autre chose que la traditionnel Kriek ou la blanche que l’on connaît tous. Le café a également passé le crash test et l’a réussi avec brio. Enfin je vous conseillerais de vous éloigner un peu du centre-ville pour découvrir le Musée de la photographie autant pour sa collection que pour son architecture. Et s’il fait beau pourquoi pas aller se promener autour de l’Abbaye d’Aulne, en ruine mais toujours aussi impressionnante. Encore plus de bons plans sur Charleroi et partout ailleurs ? Rendez-vous sur mon blog. → Voir les hôtels à Charleroi Durbuy Par Andreea, On food & wine Comme nous passons à présent nos weekends à Bruxelles plutôt qu’à l’étranger, nous en profitons pour découvrir ce que la petite Belgique a à offrir. Pourquoi je dis petit pays? Car une fois que vous commencez à découvrir la richesse gastronomique de la Belgique, le nombre de food festivals » et de foires qui s’y passent, vous vous demandez si vous êtes toujours en Belgique, ou si vous avez débarqué, disons, en France ou en Allemagne les deux seuls grands voisins auxquels j’ai pensé !. Bref, assez de géographie. Laissez-moi vous parler de la plus petite ville de Belgique, Durbuy. Durbuy est une petite ville pittoresque situé en Ardenne, et un petit bijou tout aussi bien pour les touristes que pour les locaux. Bien qu’elle soit très populaire auprès des néerlandais, Durbuy est également fréquentée par de nombreux belges qui y passent de longs weekends. L’été, pour faire de la randonnée et pour son air frais. Durant la saison plus fraîche, pour la richesse de la cuisine de gibier belge. Durbuy est un endroit touristique avec de nombreux restaurants comme Le Clos des Récollets qui servent la riche et complexe cuisine belge, avec une petite touche sauvage. Nous adorons aller à Durbuy et c’est devenu une tradition pour nous d’y aller chaque automne. Nos voyages à Durbuy, qui fut proclamée ville en 1331, incluent habituellement une visite à un ou deux restaurants, un arrêt pour acheter du fromage à la chèvrerie locale et une randonnée dans les Ardennes. Si vous cherchez quelque chose d’un peu différent à faire en Belgique, alors rendez-vous à Durbuy. → Voir les hôtels à Durbuy Ath Par Sylvie, Les Gourmandises de Sylf Louis XIV l’appelait son petit Paris » et son architecte Vauban a consolidé ses fortifications ; l’Archiduc Albert et Isabelle y ont fait construire un superbe hôtel de ville et vous, connaissez-vous Ath ? Cette petite ville du Hainaut dont je suis originaire est située entre Bruxelles et Lille et possède un riche patrimoine historique et culturel. Je vous propose de la découvrir le temps d’un weekend. Le samedi lors de votre arrivée, commencez par flâner dans les rues autour de la Grand-Place vous croiserez l’hôtel de ville, la Tour Burbant visite guidée possible et la superbe église Saint-Julien. Ne manquez pas à proximité la confiserie familiale Pilate dont la spécialité est la sucette parachute en raison de sa forme. Après cette balade, retour sur la Grand-Place pour y déguster la bière locale la Gouyasse, du nom en patois de son célèbre géant Goliath à découvrir lors de sa ducasse le 4ème dimanche d’août pour en savoir plus, lisez cet article sur mon blog. Craquez ensuite pour un cornet de frites aux Délices d’Emilie, place de la Libération. L’office du Tourisme n’est ouvert que l’après-midi le samedi, passez-y pour y prendre un plan de la ville avant d’aller visiter la Maison des géants puis s’il n’est pas trop tard l’espace gallo-romain ouvert le weekend d’avril à septembre. Le soir, je vous recommande mon restaurant préféré le restaurant italien Pino. Ces plats succulents sont un savant mélange de produits italiens et locaux et l’accueil est au top ! Le dimanche matin, profitez du calme de la ville pour faire à pied une promenade le long de la Dendre et de l’ancien site de fortifications de la ville, débutez sur le pont situé entre la rue de la Poterne et la rue de Liessies un seul sens possible, à gauche de la rivière et poussez jusqu’au petit port de plaisance situé derrière la gare tout en suivant le cours d’eau. Le midi, une visite au restaurant familial grec chez Olympe » s’impose. L’après-midi, avant votre départ, terminez par une visite au Musée de la Pierre à Maffle. → Voir les hôtels à Ath Gand Par Virginie, A taste of my life Il paraît que Gand est plus authentique que Bruges, je ne saurais vous dire car c’est la seule ville de Flandres où je suis allée. Sous ses airs de vieille dame, elle cache de vraies pépites comme des musées d’art à la pointe, une gastronomie loin d’être poussiéreuse avec de jeunes chefs au talent insolent, et un street art florissant. Il ne faut pas vous priver d’une balade le long des canaux, ou en bateau pourquoi pas, admirer l’architecture en dégustant des cuberdons, ces drôles de bonbons coniques au goût de framboise, s’arrêter pour une gaufre chez Cafe Pi celles de Max sont trop chères et le soir avec des amis, goûter la bière Gruut avec les gantois sur le Graslei, ce quai animé, et surtout rapporter de la moutarde Tierenteyn, achetée dans leur ravissante boutique … En ce qui me concerne j’ai fait une grand balade street art grâce à une carte concoctée par l’organisation Street Art Belgium et j’ai adoré, il y a des œuvres de Roa, de Bue the Warrior natif de Gand . Cela s’appelle le Concrete Canvas Tour » et ça permet de découvrir la ville sous un autre angle, moins touristique. Une autre manifestation phare que j’ai eu la chance de voir c’est la Fête des Lumières Light Festival mais il n’a pas lieu chaque année ; c’est vraiment unique comme parcours, avec des designers de lumière du monde entier. Celle qui fait rêver avec son casino, son golf, ses bars d’étés sur la plage mais surtout celle qui te donne envie de faire sauter le plafond de ta carte de banque en shopping sur la fameuse Lippenslaan d’ailleurs, pour les afficionados du monopoly, c’est la rue la plus chère à acheter dans le jeu. Pour avoir passé tous les étés de mon enfance à Blankenberge, je peux affirmer que Knokke est un autre standing. D’ailleurs, je ne suis d’habitude pas une grande fana de la côte belge la mer du nord c’est bof bof quand tu as passé l’autre partie de tes vacances scolaires en Grèce mais voilà, cette annee j’ai eu le plaisir de pouvoir découvrir un peu plus Knokke lors de divers visites et finalement, je comprend pourquoi les gens aiment y aller. Néanmoins, je préfère te prévenir qu’en hiver c’est pas top. Beaucoup d’endroits sont fermés et la plage est en travaux encore au mois de mars, il y avait des bulldozers. Mais si tu décides d’y aller, voici quelques endroits que je te recommande. Tout d’abord, qui dit plage, dit glace et donc petit détour au Glacier de la Poste ; veritable institution sur la digue. Plutot envie d’un bon resto? Alors, deux choix s’offre à toi. Le premier, c’est Brasa, un endroit bien sympa où la viande est reine mais où tu peux aussi te faire plaisir avec un menu en plusieurs services non seulement la viande était très bonne mais je garde un agréable souvenir d’un dessert au céleri rave et beurre noisette. L’autre c’est le grand frère de Brasa, Cuines 33, qui est tenu par le même chef. Ici on est dans un style gastronomique mais aux notes et influences ibériques. Pas très faim mais plutot soif? Impossible de passer par Knokke sans un détour à The Pharmacy. Ce bar à cocktail est une véritable entreprise familiale où tout le monde se retrouve derrière le bar. Papa, soeurs et frère,.. Bref ils ont la passion des bonnes choses dans le sang. Et ça se goûte! Question shopping je te conseille Couleur Locale. Ce joli magasin de déco te fait voyager hors Belgique et te donne surtout envie de redécorer tout ton appart c’est mal?. Pour le reste, il y assez de petites boutiques bien sympa et pour tout les goûts. Bon, on y retourne quand? → Voir les hôtels à Knokke Mons Par Lindsay, Star in the grass Capitale européenne de la culture en 2015, Mons est une ville d’origine médiévale à ne pas rater si vous visitez la Belgique. Ville francophone et chef-lieu du Hainaut, Mons se situe à l’ouest de la Belgique. Ses rues pavées, la magnifique Grand-Place ou encore son imposant Beffroi, Mons a de quoi jouer dans la cour des grands. Entre patrimoine, culture et gastronomie, vous ne pouvez trouver que votre bonheur ! La jolie ville montoise, où il fait bon vivre, propose de nombreux musées, des monuments et des lieux sympas à visiter. Le folklore est tout aussi présent avec sa mythique ducasse qui a lieu lors du weekend de la Trinité le Doudou, fête locale classée au patrimoine mondiale de l’UNESCO, est basée sur des traditions ancestrales ! Si vous n’êtes pas friant de culture et d’histoire, sachez que Mons regorge de nombreux restaurants en tout genre gastronomiques, brasseries ou encore cuisine du monde. A la recherche de lieux de divertissement ? Bowling, laser game et mini golf ne peuvent que vous divertir en famille ou entre amis. Pour les plus festifs d’entre-vous, de nombreux cafés et bars tendances sont là pour vous faire passer un bon moment. La place du marché aux herbes est un lieu particulièrement festif de part ses cafés, ses terrasses et lounge bars. Pour le shopping, vous trouverez votre bonheur dans le Piétonnier où s’installera Primark en novembre 2018 et dans de petites rues adjacentes qui vous proposent bon nombre de boutiques en tout genre. En dehors du centre historique de Mons, un imposant complexe commercial les Grands-près. Vous trouverez en son sein de nombreuses galeries commerçantes où vous pourrez flâner et vous restaurer. A noter, la présence du géant suédois Ikea. Fan de cinéma ? Imagix et le Plazza Art ne pourront que vous séduire. Chaque année, la ville de Mons organise le très beau festival du Film d’Amour ». Pour les amoureux de la nature, vous pouvez aller vous balader et respirer un peu d’air frais au Grand-large, où de nombreux sports nautiques sont pratiqués. Pour se rafraîchir, vous pourrez vous baigner à la nouvelle piscine du Grand Large avec notamment son espace bien-être. Comme vous l’avez certainement compris, Mons est une ville assez complète, qui charmera la plupart d’entre-vous. Alors séduits ? Ne manquez pas la Fête médiévale les 12 et 13 août devant le château, des artisans locaux présentent leurs produits du Moyen Âge, comme l’hypocras ou l’hydromel boisson à base de miel, ainsi que de l’artisanat. Des animations gratuites, un cortège et un défilé animent le cœur de Bouillon. A quelques minutes du centre, le long d’une jolie route arborée et de la Semois, se cache une abbaye des années trente art déco, où nous aimons faire un saut pour s’approvisionner en bières trappistes et en galettes au beurre, faites par les nonnes de l’Abbaye de Clairefontaine. Vous pouvez également batifoler sur la rivière et louer un kayak pour naviguer sur la Semois, une rivière sauvage et préservée. Enfin, pour séjourner à Bouillon en amoureux, nous conseillons L’Auberge du Moulin Hideux, qui ne porte pas bien son nom ce haut lieu de la gastronomie depuis soixante ans, tenu aujourd’hui par le chef Julien Lahire, est aussi un hôtel intime, entouré d’un vaste jardin bucolique. Même si le front de mer a été complètement défiguré par de véritables murs de béton, comme la plupart des autres villes de la Côté, Blankenberge village possède un vrai trésor des tas de maisons particulières et de villas datant de la Belle-époque jusqu’à l’Art-déco, en passant par l’Art Nouveau et c’est sans doute une des stations balnéaires la plus riche de ce point de vue là, encore plus qu’Ostende ou que Le Coq. Pour découvrir ces pépites, il suffit de suivre la route tracée en souvenir de la Première guerre mondiale, à pied ou en vélo cartes disponible auprès de votre logement ou à l’office du tourisme.
